The conclusion
will summarise and bring the project together and consider
the post-war development of the poster. Has the poster
simply become an adjunct to television campaigns, or
a publicity stunt for the newspapers. Can the internet
be considered a modern day 'poster'? How has propaganda
developed since the war, to the prevalence of 'Spin
Doctors' in the current day? How did the MOI develop
into the Central Office of Information in 1946, which
still exists, unlike after the First World War when
the MOI was shut down at the earliest opportunity? We
will look at each of the case studies and see how the
issues of wartime developed post war, for instance from
VD campaigns to the AIDS crisis campaigns of the 1980s.
This chapter highlights areas for further research.
Further books may need to be added to this
section, and the summary needs to be updated
