There are several libraries, and ways of searching libraries, which I have found particularly useful throughout the project. These are listed below.

• COPAC a searchable record of several academic libraries (see list), including book descriptions.
• EDINA , a subscriber service which catalogues many journals.
• British Library Public Catalogue The national library of the UK.
• University of Sussex at Brighton Library . The library contains many useful texts, and also houses the Mass-Observation Archives
• Templeman Library, University of Kent at Canterbury . The University runs a taught MA course in Propaganda, Persuasion and History
• University of Brighton Libraries . St Peter's House contains many relevant books and back-issues of many journals. The most useful I found was 'Art and Industry', a contemporary journal, which includes many articles about the posters produced during the war.
• My local libraries: King Alfred's College , and Southampton University.
