| Born
in Margate, Kent, Harrison was a Royal Scholar at the
RCA, who then designed advertisements for Ralph and
Brown. He worked for the Bossfield
Studio from 1935 to 1940, where his work included
advertisements for Cook's Tours, Southern Railways,
Polytechnic Tours and K Shoes. From 1940 to 1946 he
served in the RAF, emigrating to the USA in 1948, as
he had found it impossible to earn a living the UK because
of paper shortages.
